Published in 1999, I worked on this mostly in the summer of that year "between jobs". I had left Real 3D and started Starstone, and my one big client ran out of money. Just as this book was going to press, I started working for a casual game company, and teaching OpenGL at Full Sail. I was hired by Full Sail just in time to put that I taught OpenGL at Full Sail on the back cover.

Michael Sweet modeled a jet plane out of the gluQuadric objects. It was quite an improvement over my hand modeled jet from the last edition!
